What is the new MFA security requirement for CSP Indirect resellers?

Microsoft introduced new security requirements on November 5, 2018. These best practices and security requirements help better protect partners and customers in the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program ecosystem from potential security attacks caused by unauthorized access to CSP capabilities in the partner center.

The new mandatory security requirements include:

  1. Enabling a new secure application model to integrate with Partner Center APIs.
  2. Adopting and enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to access Partner Center API and Partner Center Dashboard.

rhipe has already adopted Adopting the new secure application model required by Partner Center.

However, a CSP indirect reseller who needs access Partner Center Dashboard MUST implement an MFA solution for your both admin and users. Without MFA your admins will not be able to manage your customers as a delegated admin through Partner Center.

More details about the requirement can be found here.
